REGISTER TODAY! | About This Webinar The modern studio is a networked studio, and the keys to an effective network in a production environment are easy setup, low latency, an intuitive user interface and the ability to run both line and mic level signals with ease between connected units.
The Focusrite RedNet series of network audio I/O devices accomplishes this using Audinate's Dante protocol featuring standard IP-based networking and components, such as Cat 6 cables and Gigabit Ethernet switches.
Using RedNet 1-4 interfaces and the RedNet PCIe card, Mix technical editor Kevin Becka will demonstrate the use of various RedNet I/O devices in the studio and control room to connect a recording workflow via Ethernet.
Microphones will be fed into RedNet 4 in the studio then make an ideal long run to the control room. Line inputs to and from RedNet 1 and 2 interfaces will be used to feed the band a cue mix, send mic level signals to outboard preamps in the control room, and port the DAW's mix output to an M&K 5.1 playback system. |
